Apple Pie Quesadillas

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 large apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
4 large flour tortillas
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Optional toppings: vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce

Directions:

Prepare the Apples: In a skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the sliced apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the apples are soft and caramelized, about 8 minutes. Remove from heat.
Assemble the Quesadillas: Spread the remaining butter on one side of each tortilla. Flip the tortillas over and distribute the apple mixture onto half of each tortilla, topping with shredded cheese. Fold the tortillas in half.
Cook the Quesadillas: In the same skillet over medium heat, cook each quesadilla until golden brown on both sides and the cheese has melted, about 2 minutes per side.
Serve Warm: Cut into wedges and serve warm, with optional toppings of vanilla ice cream or caramel sauce if desired.
