Turkey Lavash Wraps

 

Ingredients:

  • 4 large lavash bread or tortillas
  • 1 pound sliced turkey breast
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 large tomato, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup hummus
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: sliced cucumber, avocado, feta cheese, olives

Directions:

Prepare the Ingredients:

  1. Wash and prepare the lettuce, tomato, and red onion. Slice them thinly.
  2. If you’re adding cucumber or avocado, slice them as well.
  3. Lay out all the ingredients within reach.

Mix the Sauce:

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the hummus, Greek yogurt, and lemon juice.
  2. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.

Warm the Lavash Bread:

  1. If the lavash bread or tortillas are not soft, warm them slightly in a microwave or oven to make them pliable.

Assemble the Wraps:

  1. Lay out one piece of lavash bread on a clean surface.
  2. Spread a generous amount of the hummus sauce mixture over the lavash bread.
  3. Layer sliced turkey breast evenly over the sauce.
  4. Arrange shredded lettuce, tomato slices, red onion slices, and any other desired toppings over the turkey.

Roll the Wraps:

  1. Starting from one edge, tightly roll the lavash bread into a wrap.
  2. Repeat with the remaining ingredients until all wraps are assembled.

Serve:

  1. If desired, slice each wrap in half diagonally for easier handling.
  2. Serve immediately, or wrap them tightly in foil or plastic wrap for later.
