Peanut Butter Texas Sheet Cake 

 

Ingredients:

For the cake:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk

For the frosting:

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

For the cake:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 15×10-inch baking sheet (or jelly roll pan) and set it aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a medium saucepan, combine the butter, water, and peanut butter. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  4. Once boiling, remove the saucepan from heat and pour the mixture over the dry ingredients in the mixing bowl. Stir until well combined.
