Ingredients:
- 1 pound (450g) ground beef
- 1 small head cabbage, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)
Directions:
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until softened and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a spoon, and cook until browned and no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
- Once the beef is cooked, add the thinly sliced cabbage to the skillet. Stir to combine with the beef mixture.
- Season the beef and cabbage mixture with paprika, ground cumin, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and black pepper. Stir well to evenly distribute the seasonings.
- Cover the skillet and let the mixture cook for 10-12 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender, stirring occasionally.
- Once the cabbage is tender, taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
- Remove the skillet from the heat and sprinkle chopped fresh parsley on top for garnish, if desired.
- Serve the ground beef and cabbage hot as a main dish, or over cooked rice or noodles.
