INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
- Red chili flakes or chopped chili (optional, for heat)
INSTRUCTIONS
Optionally, add red chili flakes or chopped chili for extra heat.
Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar has dissolved.
If desired, mix cornstarch with a tablespoon of water to create a slurry and add it to the sauce to thicken, stirring constantly.
Continue simmering for a few more minutes until the sauce reaches your desired consistency.
Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before serving with fishballs or your preferred snacks.
