Ingredients:
– 3 cups all-purpose flour
– 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
– 1/2 teaspoon instant yeast
– 1 1/2 cups warm water (about 110°F/45°C)
Directions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and instant yeast. Stir in warm water until a shaggy dough forms.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the dough rest at room temperature for 12-18 hours, or until it has doubled in size and bubbles form on the surface.
- Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). Place a Dutch oven with lid in the oven while it preheats.
- Carefully remove the hot Dutch oven from the oven and place the dough into it, being cautious not to burn yourself. Cover with the lid and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the lid and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
- Remove bread from Dutch oven and let it cool on a wire rack before slicing and serving.
