Ingredients:
– 1 lb ground beef
– 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
– 1/4 cup milk
– 1/4 cup ketchup
– 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
– 1/4 cup finely chopped green bell pepper
– 1 large egg, beaten
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
– 1 teaspoon dried oregano
– 1 teaspoon dried parsley
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
For the glaze:
– 1/4 cup ketchup
– 2 tablespoons brown sugar
– 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, ketchup, chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, beaten egg, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, dried oregano, dried parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Transfer the meat mixture to the greased loaf pan and press it down evenly.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the ketchup, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard to make the glaze.
- Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the meatloaf is cooked through and the glaze is caramelized on top.
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
