Berry iced tea sangria 

 

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups brewed berry-flavored iced tea, chilled
  • 1 bottle (750 ml) red wine (such as Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon)
  • 1/4 cup brandy
  • 1/4 cup orange liqueur (such as triple sec or Cointreau)
  • 2 cups mixed berries (such as strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries), fresh or frozen
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 1 lime, sliced
  • 2-3 tablespoons honey or simple syrup, to taste (optional)
  • Ice cubes, for serving
  • Fresh mint leaves, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a large pitcher or punch bowl, combine the chilled brewed berry iced tea, red wine, brandy, and orange liqueur.
  2. Add the mixed berries, orange slices, lemon slices, and lime slices to the pitcher. Stir gently to combine.
  3. Taste the sangria and adjust sweetness if needed by adding honey or simple syrup, stirring until dissolved. This step is optional, depending on the sweetness of your berries and personal preference.
  4. Chill the sangria in the refrigerator for at least 1-2 hours to allow the flavors to meld together.
  5. When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice cubes.
  6. Pour the chilled berry iced tea sangria into the glasses, making sure to include some of the fruit in each serving.
  7. Garnish each glass with fresh mint leaves, if desired.
