Banana Oatmeal Cookies Recipe

 

Ingredients:

– 2 ripe bananas, mashed

– 1 cup old-fashioned oats

– 1/4 cup almond butter

– 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup

– 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

– 1/4 cup chocolate chips or raisins (optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, old-fashioned oats, almond butter, honey or maple syrup, ground cinnamon, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  3. If using, fold in the chocolate chips or raisins until evenly distributed throughout the cookie dough.
  4. Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  5. Flatten each cookie slightly with the back of a spoon or fork.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown around the edges.
  7. Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
