Ingredients:
– 1 lb ground chicken
– 1 tablespoon sesame oil
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 onion, diced
– 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
– 2 tablespoons soy sauce
– 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
– 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
– 1 teaspoon Sriracha (optional)
– 1 (8 oz) can water chestnuts, drained and diced
– 2 green onions, thinly sliced
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 1 head iceberg lettuce, leaves separated
Directions:
- Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground chicken and cook until browned, breaking it into crumbles as it cooks, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in garlic, onion, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, ginger, and Sriracha. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, until onion is translucent and fragrant.
- Add water chestnuts and green onions to the skillet, stirring to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- To serve, spoon the chicken mixture into individual lettuce leaves, using them as wraps.
