Ingredients:
- 8 oz flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
- 8 oz dried noodles (such as ramen noodles or rice noodles)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 2 green onions, chopped (white and green parts separated)
- Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)
- Chopped cilantro or parsley, for garnish (optional)
Directions:
Prepare the Noodles:
- Cook the noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside.
Marinate the Beef:
- In a bowl, combine the thinly sliced flank steak with soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil. Toss to coat the beef evenly in the marinade. Let it marinate for about 15-20 minutes while you prepare the other ingredients.
Heat the Skillet:
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
Cook the Beef:
- Once the skillet is hot, add the marinated beef slices in a single layer. Cook for 1-2 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
Sauté Aromatics and Vegetables:
- In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the minced garlic and minced ginger, stirring constantly for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the sliced red bell pepper, julienned carrot, and the white parts of the chopped green onions to the skillet. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
Combine Beef and Vegetables:
- Return the cooked beef slices to the skillet, tossing with the vegetables to combine.
Add Noodles and Sauce:
- Add the cooked noodles to the skillet with the beef and vegetables. Pour any remaining marinade over the noodles.
- Toss everything together until the noodles are coated in the sauce and heated through, about 2-3 minutes.
Garnish and Serve:
- Transfer the Asian Beef and Noodles to serving plates or bowls. Sprinkle with the chopped green parts of the green onions, sesame seeds, and chopped cilantro or parsley for garnish, if desired.
Enjoy:
- Serve the Asian Beef and Noodles hot as a flavorful and satisfying meal. You can also add extra soy sauce or chili sauce on the side for those who prefer a bolder flavor.
