7-Layer Dip

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 can (16 oz) refried beans
  • 1 packet (1 oz) taco seasoning mix
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup guacamole (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 cup salsa (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions
  • Tortilla chips, for serving

Instructions:

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together the refried beans and taco seasoning mix until well combined.
  2. Spread the refried bean mixture evenly on the bottom of a 9×13-inch serving dish or a large platter.
  3. Next, spread the sour cream evenly over the refried beans layer.
  4. Spread the guacamole evenly over the sour cream layer.
  5. Pour the salsa over the guacamole layer, spreading it out evenly.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the salsa layer.
  7. Top the cheese layer with chopped tomatoes, sliced black olives, and chopped green onions.
  8. Cover the 7-Layer Dip with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld together.
  9. Before serving, garnish the dip with additional chopped green onions or sliced jalapeƱos, if desired.
  10. Serve the 7-Layer Dip chilled with tortilla chips for dipping.
