Reindeer Food Recipe

 

Ingredients:

– 2 cups rolled oats

– 1/2 cup shredded coconut

– 1/4 cup chopped almonds

– 1/4 cup dried cranberries

– 1/4 cup chocolate chips

– 1/4 cup sunflower seeds

– 1/4 cup pumpkin seeds

– 1/4 cup honey

– 2 tablespoons melted coconut oil

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– Pinch of salt

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, shredded coconut, chopped almonds, dried cranberries, chocolate chips, sunflower seeds, and pumpkin seeds. Stir until evenly mixed.
  3. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the honey, melted coconut oil, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
  4. Pour the wet mixture over the dry ingredients and stir until everything is evenly coated.
  5. Spread the mixture out onto the prepared baking sheet in an even layer.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the mixture is golden brown and toasted.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool completely on the baking sheet.
  8. Once cooled, transfer the reindeer chow to an airtight container for storage.
  9. Serve as a festive snack or sprinkle it on your lawn on Christmas Eve to give Santa’s reindeer a special treat!
